  Location is good, but prices have gotten higher and higher. Sometimes I just pick up staples and dog food if its on sale, and wait till I go to Spokane to get other things at Costco or Walmart.

  Staff and local shoppers were super friendly. I was there when it was very crowded and everything was handled so fast and friendly.

  I have lived near the Newport Safeway the past 5 years and I can tell you this is one of the worst grocery stores I have ever shopped at. The Moscow,Idaho Safeway is a 5 Star store compared to this store. It is common for The Newport Safeway to have expired food items on the shelf. Every time I go into this store to buy food I always find food that is beyond the expiration dates. Occasionally I find food with mold on it. It is common to have to wait in long lines as the store never offers a quick lane to purchase items. The only reason why I continue to shop at this store is because it is only grocery store in Newport. Buying moldy products from this store has happened to me on dozens of occasions. I wrote the store to inform them of this problem and never heard a word back from them. Buyer be careful shopping at the Newport Safeway!!! Always check the expiration dates on anything you buy from this store!!!
